Job Description

The Senior Manager of Social Media frequently collaborates with social media professionals in other company business units, senior leaders, as well as with the Earned Media, internal communications and broader Marketing teams. The position is based in New York (Jersey City, NJ) and reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, with whom this role will work to create integrated communications strategies and campaigns.

The individual should have strong social media experience and demonstrate a passion for storytelling, a penchant for being driven by data, and a track record of success developing strategies for using social media channels to drive audience awareness and engagement.

Overall Responsibilities
  • Overall: Oversee corporate social media channels and executive leadership social media strategies
  • Recommend, develop and execute strategic social media programs and contribute to integrated campaigns that support sales, marketing and corporate objectives
  • Lead Verisk corporate social media presence on all channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit)
  • Partner with the External and Internal Communications, Events, Brand, HR, and Digital teams, as well as customers, partners, business leaders and other business units, to source, create, and publish social content
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to develop assets and images
  • Interact and engage with audiences in a relevant, timely and on-brand manner, help establish and build relationships with influential voices relevant to the business
  • Track and report on-channel and campaign performance, including engagement metrics; share wins and learnings with/among the wider social media and marketing teams
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with influencers, and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management for the Social Media team across internal resources
  • Ensure social channels are current, innovative and helpful resources for stakeholders seeking information about Verisk
  • Use data to drive social media strategy, outreach, and response
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Verisk's industries, businesses, product lines and value propositions, along with its competitive landscape
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in journalism, social media, public relations, marketing or related field
  • Social media expert (7-10 years)
    • Command of social media best practices
    • Proven success executing social media campaigns for publicly traded, layered, and global organizations
    • Skilled writer able to succinctly communicate complex and sensitive topics via social channels
  • Data-driven mindset
    • Proficient in using monitoring and tracking tools to develop dashboards and reports that demonstrate key metrics and ROI
