Postal Courier, Temporary

Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Postal Courier, Temporary (3 positions) in Mail Services.

• Duties include, but are not limited to : maintains a proper operational flow of delivered mail to meet the expectations of University students, faculty and staff;


• assists with the daily processing of incoming and outgoing student and University mail; inputs packages and mail into tracking system;


• distributes mail and packages to patrons at the Post Office coming to collect their items; completes daily mail delivery and pickup to and from University staff and faculty;

provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.

Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and work experience in postal, courier or delivery operations required.

Six (6) months mail services experience are preferred. A valid driver’s license is also required. A successful candidate should possess the ability to deal accurately with numbers and money;

ability to meet and greet customers in pleasant manner; ability to work well in team setting; and must have initiative to perform required tasks in a timely manner.

m. Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma and work experience in postal, courier or delivery operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Six (6) months mail service experience.

Required Licensure and / or Certification

A valid driver’s license is required.
