Here at Sextant Stays in New Orleans the Residence/Condo Cleaner (Housekeeping Attendant) position is a crucial part of our team in helping ensure our guests have a memorable experience by doing whatever it takes to provide a problem-free stay!
The primary responsibilities of the Residence/Condo Cleaner will be through superb fieldwork, which includes (but not limited to): maintaining the public areas & condo residences to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests.
The Cleaner's performance will be based on your ability to complete tasks efficiently and without supervision, problem-solve independently, prioritize tasks, implement processes, and communicate effectively.
Additionally, you can expect to do the following during your scheduled shifts:
General cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back of house to achieve high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcomed and attended.
Anticipate guests needs in order to accommodate them and provide exceptional guest service.
Retrieve and store lost and found items, and answer inquires to ensure guest satisfaction.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Assisting in other departments if needed.
Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
What We're Looking For:
Previous work experience in housekeeping is required. Hotel and/or Vacation Rental experience strongly preferred.
Flexible schedule availability is required.
Organized, hardworking, ownership mentality and detail-oriented.
Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking.com, AirBnb, Trip Advisor, etc.
High energy, bubbly personality and customer service attitude.
Must have a service oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
An ability to interact professionally and responsibly with guests, management and vendors.
A self-starter with a positive attitude, who has the ability to work effectively both in a team environment as well as independently.
Unintimidated by using mobile apps while in the field for team collaboration and communication (experience with Slack, Google Suite).
Flexible schedule and is open to working evenings, weekends and holidays.
Use of a personal vehicle, valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance are strongly preferred.
