- We are looking for an Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Cedartown, Ga!
- The Operations Manager coordinates, through the Factory Managers, the manufacturing activities of the Cedartown operation.
- Direct Reports include the assigned Factory Managers and other appropriate staff leaders as determined by the facility Director of Manufacturing.
- Reports to the on-site Director of Manufacturing.
- The Plant Operations Manager plays a strategic role in the development and deployment of company objectives.
- Will be assigned functional leadership responsibility for identifying and implementing breakthrough improvements which benefit the entire location.
- Exercise direct supervision over of staff level managers with respect to production volume, cost and quality of production, execution of manufacturing schedules and delivery goals/dates.
- Achieve Policy Deployment objectives through the use of Rapid Continuous Improvement and Lean tools.
- Recommend purchase of new capital equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as safety standards.
- Forecast labor requirements; recommends and implements equipment or layout changes.
- Work with cross functional teams including quality and procurement to verify production capability to produce to specification in support of new product programs.
- Conduct supervisory responsibilities, including staffing, member performance management, training and development, salary increases, and member disciplinary actions.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing Operations Management.
