Scope of Work

The CNS candidate will be able to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate educational needs for patients in a Medical/Surgical area and will be available for consultation in the inpatient clinical areas. Responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical practice, curriculum development and evaluation, and patient and staff education. Must use evidence-based practice and research, and be able to function in a leadership role. This candidate will act as a resource to all levels of nursing staff for the system-wide facility. Must demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and technical proficiency. Ability to demonstrate Beaumont customer service standards and behaviors in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Specialty Nursing Required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience as registered nurse or advanced practice nursing experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • Board certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist (BC-ACNS) - AACN American Association of Critical Care Nurses Upon Hire Required.
