Here is What You Will Be Doing:
• Develops a comprehensive supply chain strategy to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness aligning with organizational goals.
• Directs capital planning efforts related to construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects, ensuring supply chain and procurement alignment.
• Negotiates high-value supply, service, and capital equipment contracts, ensuring long-term value.
• Ensures compliance with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and aggregator agreements, optimizing contract utilization and driving cost savings.
• Oversees inventory management and manages procurement processes to optimize supplier relationships and negotiation outcomes.
• Coordinates annual capital budgeting process and collaborations with Finance and department leaders to support accurate forecasting and prioritization through evidence-based capital equipment and supply selection and capital project stewardship.
• Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPI) to guide strategic initiatives and support Executive decision making.
• Monitors market and industry trends, conditions, and emerging risks that may impact material availability and cost and cause supply chain disruption.
• Champions continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and performance, including employee training and development.
• Implement quality improvement activities aimed at asset optimization, improving organizational performance, and system agility.
• Oversees supply chain and materials management staff, including onboarding, development, engagement, and team/individual performance.
• Maintains accurate and efficient inventory controls over supplies and supplies used control structure for the Central Supply department.
• Serves as a key member of the Internal Capital Review Committee and directs the Value Analysis Team (VAT).
• Develops supply chain and materials management policies and procedures.

Here is What You Need:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain management, operations management, or business administration.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in healthcare supply chain and/or materials management.
• Two (2) or more years of leadership experience
• Two (2) years: Association for Supply Chain Management (ACSM) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification within two years of start date
• Valid USA driver’s license
• Clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional’s driving guidelines

Nice to Have:
• Master's degree
• Lean or Six Sigma experience
• Finance and/or contract experience
• ACSM Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• ACSM Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
• ACSM Certified Transformation for Supply Chain (CTSC)

Responsibilities

  • The Healthcare Supply Chain Director leads Cheyenne Regional Healthcare System's (Cheyenne Regional) supply chain operations; oversees inventory management, capital planning, contract negotiation, compliance and operational efficiency while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and patient care objectives
