About the Role
Apex Commercial Cleaning is hiring a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner to service a restaurant client in Bellingham, WA. This is a part-time, casual position — we want to be upfront about what's on offer so you can decide if it's the right fit for you before applying.
This role starts at 6 hours per week. Cleaners who perform well and show up consistently will be considered for additional hours as they become available.
Shift Details
Days: Sunday night and/or Monday morning
Time: Sunday after 7:00 PM and/or Monday early morning
Hours: 6 hours/week to start — split however works best for you:
• All 6 hours Sunday night after 7 PM, OR
• All 6 hours Monday morning before opening, OR
• 3 hours Sunday night + 3 hours Monday morning
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
What You'll Be Doing
This is a restaurant cleaning role — it is physically demanding and different from office cleaning. Duties include:
• Deep cleaning of kitchen surfaces, equipment, stovetops, and exhaust areas
• Scrubbing floors, grease traps, and hard-to-reach areas in the kitchen
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and customer-facing dining areas
• Wiping down tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces
• Removing trash and replacing bin liners
• Restocking supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) as needed
• Following food-safe sanitation standards throughout
Who We're Looking For
• Someone who is punctual and dependable — early morning starts are non-negotiable
• Comfortable working in a commercial kitchen environment (grease, food residue, industrial equipment)
• Physical stamina — this role involves bending, scrubbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior restaurant or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
• Must have reliable transport to reach the site early in the morning
