THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for an Executive Protection Specialist to safeguard its executives, identify potential risks, and mitigate security threats. The successful candidate will carry out protection operations primarily at AMD, Austin, TX headquarters and surrounding areas; collaborating with local and regional teams. This position requires experience in residential security, threat intelligence, surveillance systems, and security strategies. Domestic and international travel will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Executive Protection Specialist will:
• Provide personal security for executives, create and execute protection plans
• Identify and mitigate security risks through targeted strategies
• Advise on security best practices and standards
• Engage in ongoing training and build relationships with government and industry experts
• Keep executives informed on security issues and trends
• Collaborate with site security and protection teams
• Respond to security emergencies as needed

Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as a security advisor at designated sites
• Collaborate with internal teams on security initiatives
• Foster relationships with law enforcement and government agencies
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels
• Balance security needs with executive requirements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Progressive years of security experience in law enforcement, military, or corporate sectors
• Executive Protection (EP) training and experience in roles such as team member, or detail leader
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior management in a dynamic environment
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills
• Proven ability to address complex security challenges
• Up-to-date knowledge of security trends and industry developments

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement) or equivalent experience
