Job Description

Duties
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide personal care and support to individuals in group homes, assisted living facilities, or home settings.
• Monitor client health by taking vital signs and observing changes in behavior or condition.
• Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Support clients in social interactions and community engagement activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Document daily activities and any significant changes in client status.
Skills
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable.
• Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance.
• Knowledge of home health practices and long-term care experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plans.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for individuals served.
