Job Description

eded for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Pre Op

Job Details:

• Work day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

• On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week from end of shift to 10:00 PM

• Floating requirement to different locations as needed

• Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1

• Weekend requirement: No

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required

• BLS Certification from AHA required

• ACLS Certification from AHA required

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served

• Ensure quality care is provided in efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards

• Must demonstrate current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served

• Communicate in clear, concise manner appropriate to developmental age of patient

• Handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking

• Position, push and transfer patients or equipment requiring heavy physical effort

• Perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching

• Work in bloodborne pathogen environment with exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
