ce to 6 individuals with an intellectual, cognitive or developmental disability in a home-like setting in the community.
Our goal is to help them achieve independence at the highest level possible.
Responsibilities: (including but not limited to):
1. Assisting with basic personal hygiene, grooming, cooking, basic house chores, meal preparation, laundry, ambulation, medical and health monitoring;
2. Transporting individuals and running errands, grocery shopping, and attending scheduled outings such as movies, out to eat, and community events;
3. Reminding and assisting with self-administration of medications;
4. Recognize individual needs and treat each person with respect and dignity;
5. Teach and document daily training that has been developed for the individual to promote independence.
Requirements:
1. Must be at least 25 year of age or older;
2. HS Diploma/GED; 1 year exp working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities;
3. Valid Driver’s license with no violations within 3 years;
4. Able to work in a home-type setting;
5. Able to communicate verbally and written;
6. Able to handle physical aspects of job such as reaching, pulling, lifting, and stooping;
7. Must be able to pass a criminal background check;
8. Flexible schedule such as being able to work on evenings, weekends and holidays.
POSITION OPEN: *OVERNIGHT position . M 9p-9a; Tu 9p-9a; Wed 9p-9a; Thurs 9p-9a. *During this position, you are allowed to sleep overnight with an active audio monitor in case a resident needs you.
