Position Overview

You will support a Partner who relies on:
• Strong traditional legal secretarial skills
• Fast, accurate typing and document preparation
• Detail-oriented calendaring and deadline management
• Reliability, professionalism, and a service-first mindset
• Comfort working with long-established workflows and procedures

This role offers meaningful responsibility and stability for someone who takes pride in being the anchor of a partner’s practice.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, organize, and maintain physical and electronic client files
• Open new matters and ensure required documentation is complete
• Draft, type, proofread, and format legal documents, including:
• Correspondence
• Land use and zoning submissions
• Pleadings and motions
• Agreements and supporting materials
• Manage the Partner’s calendar, including hearings, meetings, deadlines, and appointments
• Assist with preparation for administrative hearings, planning commission meetings, and related proceedings
• Coordinate calls, meetings, and teleconferences
• Answer phones, manage email communications, and interact with clients professionally
• Sort, scan, and organize records and case materials
• Perform filing duties, including e-filing where applicable
• Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information

Required Qualifications
• Legal experience required (secretarial, administrative, or paralegal support in a law firm)
• Fast and accurate typing skills (strong keyboard proficiency, document speed, and formatting ability)
• Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Comfort working with traditional/established legal office processes

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in real estate, land use, zoning, or administrative law
• Familiarity with e-filing systems and digital document management
• Paralegal coursework or related education

Schedule
• Monday–Friday
• 8-hour day shift
• In-person only
• No weekends

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $60,000–$85,000, based on experience
