Job Description
ms insurance verification or sliding fee program screenings for patients in accordance with LSCC guidelines
• Assesses patient requests and implied needs, using probing and clarifying questions
• Assists patients with scheduling, confirmations, cancellations and rescheduling of appointments
We ask our Call Center Patient Service Representatives to possess a minimum of:
• High school diploma or GED preferred; additional work experience may be substituted in lieu of education
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently
The following experience/skills are preferred:
• Six (6) months prior medical office or healthcare setting experience
• Minimum three (3) months call center experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish language and writing skills
Key Success Factors
Some key factors that will make an individual successful in this role:
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems during calls
• Dependable, punctual, and able to meet performance expectations
