Duties
• Provide clinical oversight of floor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Coordinate patient care plans, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations for Long-Term Care residents and patients on skilled nursing services.
• Supervise daily operations within the nursing unit, including update staffing, resource allocation, and workflow management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality discharge planning and post-acute care strategies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, NCQA standards, and OSHA guidelines while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
• Facilitate staff training on EMR system PointClickCare; promote aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Support quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes at bedside.

Qualifications
• Valid RN license with current registration.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervisory roles within hospital or long-term care environments.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR system PointClickCare; strong medical documentation skills.
• Knowledge of complex medical procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, wound care and tube feeding.
• Familiarity with diverse specialties including ophthalmology, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, and trauma medicine.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using physiology knowledge; skilled in medication administration and diagnostic evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
