Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ comfort and quality of life.
Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including use of lifts or assistance with beds, chairs, and vehicles.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Assist clients with self-administration of medications, including reminders, prompts, and observation, in accordance with care plans and physician orders.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to the healthcare team or family members.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and recreational activities as necessary.
Maintain accurate daily records of activities, care provided, and client condition updates.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses, therapists) to ensure comprehensive and effective care.
Follow all HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience as a personal attendant or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow care plans and detailed instructions accurately.
Capability to lift and move clients using proper safety equipment.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for roles involving client transport).
Must pass background check and drug screening (as required).
Working Conditions:
Primary work setting in clients’ homes or residential care facilities.
Flexible schedule required, including availability on weekends and holidays.
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting clients.
