for a Nurse, Licensed Practical to join the dedicated group of public health professionals in the Clinic within the Division of Family and Clinic Services.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and public health employee, you will play an active role in improving the health and wellness of your community. As part of a small, but mighty team, you will provide Licensed Practical Nursing services, interventions, assessments, and play a crucial role in supporting registered nurses, nurse practitioners (NP), and physicians in preparing clients for a range of medical services. This includes guiding patients to examination rooms, collecting preliminary health information, and assisting with various clinical tasks. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for managing clinic inventory, ensuring that all necessary medical supplies are in stock and readily available. Under the direction of a NP or physician, you may administer medications or immunizations as prescribed and perform phlebotomy tasks such as drawing blood samples. This position requires a thorough understanding of medical protocols, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and care. All clinical tasks are performed within the LPN scope of practice and under the direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician as required by Idaho Board of Nursing regulations.
This position may include a teleworking option from within Idaho.

For a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse, the base pay range of $24.08 - $28.33/hour grows to an estimated total compensation value of $36.25 - $41.44/hour when benefits are included, showcasing our commitment to your well-being and professional growth.
Typical Duties:
Candidates must be able to complete the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and meet all the mandatory qualifications of the position.
• Provide compassionate clinical care by interviewing clients and families, gathering health histories, and supporting patient-centered visits.
• Perform vital clinical duties including obtaining temperatures, weights, blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin readings.
• Prepare clients for exams and assist with labs, immunizations, and medication administration.
• Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and support providers during exams, procedures, and investigations.
• Deliver patient education under the guidance of a nurse practitioner or physician.
• Immunize adults and children following ACIP guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation in IRIS and the EMR.
• Maintain immunization inventory, place vaccine orders for satellite clinics, and support Vaccine for Children (VFC) program education.
• Organize and participate in immunization clinics, including large-scale community flu and pandemic response events.
• Support administrative and pharmacy functions such as scheduling, EMR documentation, and processing medication refill requests.
Uphold safety and compliance standards, including infection control, CPR readiness, lab proficiency coordination, exam room stocking, and medical supply ordering.
• Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the state of Idaho or state licensure as a Practical Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.

• Valid Driver’s License
