Job Description
who provide direct patient care
• Ensures that the professional standards for community nursing practices are followed by all nurses providing care
• Maintains and adheres to agency procedures and patient care policy manuals
• Ensures all clinical staff complete mandatory training
• Monitors licensure and certification compliance for clinical team members
• Ensures that clinical staff follows established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, blood borne pathogens, hazardous waste, and quality assurance programs
• Ensures compliance of the protocols and procedures regarding medication management via supervision, delegation, training, and ongoing competency checks
• Provides written and oral reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Director of Operations concerning the performance of the clinical team members
• Leads coordination of health care services with other third party providers to ensure continuity of care
• Assists, when necessary, recruiting, interviewing, and selecting efforts for new team members
• Ensures that quality assurance program is followed
• Ensures that all medical forms are completed and assesses patients for required levels of care
• Evaluates nursing personnel, coordinates patient care, and ensures that records of criteria for admission to service, case assignments, and case management are set
• Oversees all medication administration
• Works in conjunction with patient’s Attending Physician to make certain the highest quality of service is being provided
• Develops work schedules and assignments to ensure staff accountability and task completion
• Ensures adequate supplies and equipment are available to meet the day-to-day operational needs
• Submits recommendations to the Administrator for budget, equipment, and supplies
• Maintains high level confidentiality of all information related to the role
• Investigates all complaints, grievances, and incidents, and works with the supervisor concerning appropriate responses and corrective actions
• Performs all other tasks as required by management
Qualifications:
• RN or LPN license issued by the State of Florida
• Three (3) years of management experience in home healthcare, preferred, or at a minimum the healthcare field
• Ability to exercise independent judgement, well organized, and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of IHH’s policies and procedures, and knowledge and ability to apply community health principles and practices
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
