Job Description



This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, calm under pressure, and committed to helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Duties
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Implement and follow behavior support plans under the guidance of the supervising BCBA/Behavior Analyst.
• Provide positive behavioral support and redirection when individuals experience behavioral challenges.
• Monitor and document behavioral data and observations each shift in accordance with agency and APD requirements.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed.
• Prepare meals while adhering to special dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including cleaning common areas and maintaining a safe environment.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills, including personal care, household tasks, and daily routines.
• Support community integration through outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities when required.
• Observe and report changes in behavior, health, or well-being to supervisors.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or emergency situations following established protocols.
• Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals in the home.

Experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age: 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs preferred
• Must pass required background screening and training requirements
