Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Truck Driver will operate company trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently, following scheduled routes and delivery windows. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and monitoring loads, and handling basic loading and unloading tasks as needed. The driver will complete all required logs and documentation, comply with DOT regulations and company policies, and communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, route changes, and any issues on the road. The role also involves maintaining a clean, safe vehicle and representing Latam Shipping professionally with customers and the public.
Qualifications
• Valid CDL Class A license and demonstrated Truck Driving experience operating commercial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and commitment to compliance, safety standards, and accurate driving logs.
• Ability to assist with basic Unloading and safe handling of freight when required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
• Strong time management, route planning, and communication skills with dispatch and customers.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, climb into and out of trucks, and handle moderate lifting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in freight or logistics is a plus.
