Job Description
to work as scheduled. You must be at least 21 yrs old and have a valid Texas Driver's license.
Positions Include:
Route Driver-DELIVERY DRIVERS (VAN Non CDL)
Route departure (shift start) times can vary based upon customer mix and delivery window requirements.
Schedule is usually Monday – Saturday with 1 day off during the week of a standard schedule. The start time is as early as 6:00am and as late as Noon, with the shift scheduled for 9 hours as well as the possibility of overtime.
Rate of Pay: $18.50 p/h
Our ideal candidate should:
• Have a Valid Texas driver's license (CDL is not necessary)
• Have the ability to operate delivery vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Be able to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse
• Be able to work in the elements
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills
• Have the ability to use pallet jack, carts and dollies
• Be able to lift and carry heavy items
• Be able to climb ladders
• Should have a Flexible schedule
• Be able to dolly merchandise 100+ lbs.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced setting
• Be able to dolly, push, pull and lift heavy merchandise
• Be fast on your feet
• Have great customer service
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a box truck or tractor-trailer to deliver goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays during the delivery process
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers at delivery locations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a route driver or in a similar driving role is preferred
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and ability to operate them confidently
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items, as some deliveries may require heavy lifting
- Experience operating a forklift or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Commercial driving experience is highly desirable, including knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
- Experience in moving or courier services is beneficial
