Job Description
s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) compliant emergent psychiatric assessment to include mental status evaluation, provisional diagnosis and recommendation for level of care.

Here is What You Will Be Doing:
• Responsible for responding to the Emergency Department (15 minutes from referral), the Medical Floors (24 hours from referral), and the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Coordinates with the on call psychiatrist, the attending provider and the patients wider clinical team to assess and plan for patient treatment and disposition.
• Properly document consultations to enable the dropping of appropriate Provider Fee Charges on behalf of CRMC.
• Completes Clinical Precertification/Preauthorization prior to admission as required by payers.
• Coordination of clinical disposition to in patient psychiatric care and facilitation of discharge plan in partnership with the medical team to appropriately meet assessed psychiatric need if discharging from the Emergency Room or the Medical floors.
• Enacts licensure obligations and responsibilities under Title 25 of the Wyoming Mental Health Statute.
• Completes and tracks productivity efforts as required.
• Participates in scheduled staffing, individual supervision, care review, documentation audit and observed practice and other quality assurance activities and support High Reliability in Healthcare prerogatives.
Desired Skills:
• Good communication skills with staff, cooperative attitude with peers and supervisor, as well as patients and physicians
• Knowledge in the three main areas of psychiatric consultation: mental status, differential diagnosis, and risk assessment
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Here is What You Need:
• Wyoming Mental Health Professional Licensing Board: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Nice to Have:
• Two (2) or more years of experience as a licensed provider in therapy or psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
