Job Description
Overview
Damian’s Enterprises is hiring a full-time Route Delivery Driver based out of our Tallahassee location.
This is a hands-on food distribution role. Drivers are responsible for operating a company delivery vehicle, servicing established customer accounts, unloading product, rotating and merchandising product, completing route paperwork, and maintaining professional customer relationships.
This is not a drop-and-go driving job. The right candidate must be comfortable with physical work, early start times, customer interaction, and completing assigned routes safely and accurately.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Early morning start times
Route completion based on assigned territory, customer needs, and seasonal volume
Most routes are local or regional from the Tallahassee location
Occasional overnight travel may be required based on route coverage, training, or operational needs
Workdays may vary in length depending on route volume, traffic, customer needs, and seasonal demand.
What You’ll Do
• Service established convenience store, grocery, drug, and small format customer accounts
• Deliver frozen and refrigerated products to customer locations
• Load, unload, and move product using a hand truck, carts, and related equipment
• Lift and handle cases ranging from approximately 5 to 50 lbs throughout the day
• Rotate and merchandise product in coolers, freezers and bunkers
• Check in with store management and follow customer receiving procedures
• Use handheld devices or mobile systems for route documentation, and daily reporting
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow company fleet safety, DVIR, and route procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and basic care of assigned vehicle
• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and internal team members
This role may service a large number of assigned accounts throughout the week or month and requires strong time management, attention to detail, and accountability.
What This Job Requires
• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable driving record
• Prior route delivery, DSD, food distribution, beverage, vending, merchandising, warehouse, or commercial driving experience preferred
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and move product throughout the day
• Ability to work in and around coolers, freezers, and refrigerated product
• Ability to work early start times and variable route lengths
• Ability to pass required background, MVR, and drug screening
• Dependable attendance and communication
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
• Professional attitude with customers and coworkers
CDL experience is helpful, but not required unless assigned to a CDL-required route.
This Role May Be a Good Fit If You
• Have experience completing physical work throughout the day
• Are comfortable working independently on an assigned route
• Take pride in finishing the job correctly
• Communicate well with customers and managers
• Can handle early mornings and changing daily route demands
