Job Responsibilities

As a Carpentry Foreman, you will lead daily jobsite operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the standards Rauser Builders is known for.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead Field Crews
• Supervise and work alongside carpenters and laborers on active job sites
• Set the pace for productivity, safety, and craftsmanship
• Mentor and train crew members to strengthen the team
• Perform and oversee framing, structural carpentry, and general construction tasks
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and building codes
• Maintain consistent quality from layout through completion
• Coordinate daily work with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers
• Help maintain project schedules and resolve field issues quickly
• Proactively ensure that materials, equipment, and tools are available and properly used
• Inspect work throughout construction phases to ensure accuracy, quality workmanship, and compliance with applicable building codes, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA guidelines
• Conduct regularly scheduled safety jobsite safety checks
• Provide daily updates to project management
• Maintain jobsite documentation, photographs, and progress reports

Qualifications include:
• 5+ years experience in carpentry or general construction skills
• Strong background in framing and structural carpentry
• Experience leading crews or serving as a lead carpenter / foreman
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain jobsite efficiency
• Clear communication with crews, subcontractors, and management
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift materials and work in outdoor construction environments
