Description of Responsibilities:
• Answers phone calls in a professional manner and assist callers.
• Enter data into various software programs.
• Maintain files and documentation: proofread, review and correct correspondence, documents, records and other written material.
• Receive and distribute mail.
• Maintain office machines and equipment.
• Schedule appointments, meetings, and training.
• Maintain staff calendars.
• Perform routine office activities.
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of office and secretarial practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper and grammatical usage, punctuation and spelling.
• Ability to use modern office equipment.
• Ability to determine priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of satisfactory secretarial experience.
OR
Satisfactory completion of a one year course in secretarial Science from a business school registered with the NYS Education Department, a New York State Community College, or technical institute recognized by the New York State Education Department as following acceptable practices;
OR
A satisfactory combination of 1 and 2 above.
