Job Description

• Collect blood, or other laboratory specimens
· Triage patients, assist with evaluations and treatment, and provide information to patients as directed by providers.
· Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
• Operates diagnostic equipment
• Take patient to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician
• Assists physician during patient examination
• Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, scanning documents and coding for billing purposes
• Coordinate referrals with other healthcare providers and pharmacies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment areas
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
• Full Time position
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
• Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
• Experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Word, Outlook, Excel and EMR systems
• High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
