Job Description

• Work with insurances to follow up on claims
• Checking insurance eligibility and authorizations
• Receives, answers and responds to telephone calls from patients or their representatives.
• Scanning and faxing patient information
• Answers questions and gives information directly or on the telephone within the scope of practice. All other questions referred to a specific department as needed.
• Collects all co-pays, deductibles, and past balances as indicated on the insurance card or as documented by billing staff. Updates new insurance information as received.
• Assist co workers with front office responsibilities and help other departments such as billing and surgery scheduling,
• Other duties as assigned
• Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Electronic health record (EHR) experience is a plus.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while keeping a professional and calm composure
• Previous clinical experience required.
• Billing experience is required.
• Customer service oriented attitude/behavior
• Computer proficiency is required and ability to use applicable software as required performing the essential functions of the job

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- • This person will work closely with billing manager, and our front desk
- • Status: Full time, 40 hours per week
- • Help Billing team with submitting claims, post money, update claims
- • Work with insurances to follow up on claims
- • Checking insurance eligibility and authorizations
