Job Description
Job Title: Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Compensation:
• Travel Pay: From $2,200/week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced infusion center. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an ambulatory setting, managing a variety of infusion therapies, injections, and related treatments.
Nurses typically manage a 4:1 patient ratio, caring for approximately 9–11 patients per day, including infusions, injections, and lab-related procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer infusion therapies, injections, and supportive treatments
• Monitor patients during treatments and respond to adverse reactions
• Perform lab draws, blood transfusions, and therapeutic procedures
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation using EMR systems
• Provide patient education related to treatments and care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of Oncology Infusion RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card
• Prior travel nursing experience
Clinical Experience Required
• Administration of Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, and Biotherapy
• Experience with specialty medications (e.g., immunologic and infusion therapies)
• Blood transfusions (PRBCs, platelets)
• Therapeutic phlebotomy
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic/Beacon preferred)
Additional Information
• Maximum patient ratio of 4:1
• Floating may be required to nearby facilities
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel eligibility
