What We Want

University Center & Special Events relies on part-time staff to support us in a number of different ways. The Program Aide position is a way for us to use non-student staff in roles to support our events. Program Aides help us internally by acting as over-hire staff for large scale traveling productions (MSC OPAS productions, concerts, etc.) & house managers for events inside our facility and surrounding areas in which UCEN is responsible.

A Glimpse of the Job

Program Aides at Rudder Theatre Complex are utilized on a part-time basis to assist with larger events in and around our venues. The duties of these staff can adjust based on the particular event & expectations, but common needs are interacting with our patrons regularly, following directions of our event managers, & working with large scale traveling productions to ensure expectations are met.

Essential Duties/Tasks
• House Management: Interacting with audience & attendees to ensure facility rules are being followed. Work with event organizers to facilitate needs for receptions, check-in, etc. prior to & during events.
• Labor assistance: Work with event managers & staff to setup, operate, & remove equipment for events.

What You Need To Know

Salary: $25.00/hr.

Part-time

Required Education
• High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• Customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Other Requirements Or Other Factors
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move heavy objects.
