Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Attendants are in charge and responsible for the control of customer flow and all necessary side work, while maximizing the prompt efficiency of food & beverage service, and ensuring guest satisfaction according to Shin-Sen-Gumi standards. A friendly, positive, and courteous attitude toward customers is necessary.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures, including staff meetings when necessary.
• Greeting and welcoming customers.
• Guiding customers in and around the store/restaurant.
• Providing the menu and taking food and drink orders from customers or explaining kiosk use.
• Must be familiar with menu including daily specials and prices.
• Must have basic knowledge of food allergy.
• Be reasonable and accommodating to customers' requests.
• Make sure that customers are served in a timely manner.
• Use reasonable caution in handling hot plate such as charcoal stoves or hot pot etc.
• Refill water and other drinks as needed.
• Remove plates once the customer has finished using it.
• Observe customers and respond to their needs.
• Clean tables and surrounding areas after the customer has vacated the space, and then prepare it to receive the next customer.
• Process customer Bill payment / charges, in a timely manner.
• Stock service areas with supplies as needed and perform other necessary or incidental tasks.
• Responsible for filling out daily tip report.
• Be responsible for maintaining clean restrooms.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Comply with Department of Public Health Regulation and all other applicable laws and regulations.
• Be punctual when reporting to work as well as performing designated duties.
• Be involved and contribute in team meetings.
• Complete all appropriate company documentation and key tasks, on every shift.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and follow each restaurant’s manual.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by store manager kitchen manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Must have a Food Handler Card approved for use in Los Angeles County and Orange County.
• Ability to work in a high-energy and demanding environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must have basic math and reading skills.
• Must be able to multitask, maintain a professional manner, work quickly, and communicate well to ensure all orders are satisfactory to customers.
• Must be able to understand and carry out instructions.
• Behave professionally and be flexible to change.
• Be physically capable of carrying items as needed to perform the above-stated tasks.
