Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of specialized trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in driving commercial vehicles and handling diverse freight types will be essential to our success.

Duties
• Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and other commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure handling of goods
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while adhering to safety standards and traffic laws
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with special deliveries such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials when required, following all safety protocols

Skills
• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL license; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred
• Expertise operating various truck types including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures for different cargo types and securement techniques
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
• Excellent route planning skills with a focus on safety, timeliness, and customer satisfaction
• Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual tasks related to freight handling
