Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Job Summary:

This Operating Room registered nurse (RN) position is located in Austin, Texas, at a trauma level 3 pediatric hospital. The role involves delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The job entails assisting the surgical team, preparing operating rooms and instruments, and monitoring patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.

Job Details:
• Location: Austin, TX
• Shift Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Experience with Cerner Charting system is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Circulating and scrub nurse experience as applicable.
• Additional Information: Orientation shifts number between 3 to 5 shifts. Holiday coverage is required and shared among staff.
• Unit Description: Trauma level 3 pediatric hospital with 3 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy/procedure rooms, 14 pre-operative/recovery beds, and 13 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds. Support anesthesia and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are available 24/7 to assist with all surgical procedures excluding cardiovascular and neurological surgeries. Scrubs are provided.
