The typical schedule for this position is Monday to Thursday, 7 AM - 5:30 PM. A road driving test will be administered. Employees are required to wear steel-toe safety shoes, which they must provide. Additionally, this position may qualify for medical insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:
• Assisting with the operation of our fleet of 40+ CDL/CMV vehicles, supporting various road maintenance and construction activities, including gravel road maintenance, chip seal, and drainage maintenance.
• Operating a tandem axle water truck for gravel road maintenance, a tandem axle dump truck to transport construction materials, and a Class A tractor/trailer tanker to deliver asphalt emulsion to chip seal project sites.
• Operating heavy construction equipment as assigned.
• Performing physically demanding labor outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Related experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Colorado Flaggers Certification within two (2) weeks of employment required.
• Possession of a valid driver license required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age on date of hire, required.
• Safety-toe shoes, required.
• Possession of, and ability to maintain a class ‘B' or a class ‘A' commercial driver license (CDL) without the following restrictions: 'L' -air brake restriction, 'O' –no/Trctr/Trlr restriction(s), ‘E' -No manual transmission, ‘X'-No cargo in CMV tank vehicle or ‘Z' - No full air brake equipped CMV required.
• Ability to obtain 'N' Tank endorsement by date of hire required.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, reliable, punctual, able to qualify for a CDOT Flagging Certificate and must have a valid Class “A” or Class “B” Commercial Driver's License. An N-Tanker endorsement is preferred. A road driving test will be given.
