Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepares estimates for assigned project(s) and review proposal specifications, and drawings as a subject matter expert
• Gathers subcontractor proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.
• Prepares bids by analyzing all costs related to the project
• Works effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather information, prepare proposals and recommendations, and negotiate as needed
• Performs comprehensive reviews of project plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, etc.
• Conducts accurate takeoffs
• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and other meetings as necessary to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates
• Analyzes bid abstracts to improve company performance and effectively impact future projects
• Maintains records and databases with cost information and other related data
• Utilize B2W and other software to put bids and change orders together and send to clients
• Assist with pre-construction tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or relevant field experience not required
• At least 3 years professional experience estimating for a Commercial GC
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Leads by example with strong ethics
• Effectively works under tight deadlines
• Ability to recognize and recommend alternatives and solutions with support cost-effectiveness
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, MS Projects, Blue beam,
• Excellent, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with staff and clients

Job Type: Full-time exempt (not eligible for overtime in compliance with federal, state, or local compliance regulations)

Pay: $75,000-$110,000 per year (The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.)
