Job Description

dical Assistant for our Bradenton office who is professional, adaptable, reliable, and committed to providing excellent customer service. This role supports the clinic’s front office operations and plays an important part in ensuring a positive patient experience. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to handle patient interactions efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities
• Greet and check-in patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance, and manage appointment reminders.
• Answer and route phone calls, emails, and messages from patients and providers.
• Prepare, scan, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems.
• Collect co-pays and other payments; provide receipts and reconcile daily logs.
• Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and medical documentation requests.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure timely completion of clinical documentation.
• Maintain front desk cleanliness and supply inventory.
• Support credentialing and compliance documentation as needed.
• Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all times.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in medical administration preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, insurance verification, and front office workflows.
• Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., SimplePractice, Kareo, AdvancedMD, or similar).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
