Duties
• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
• Assist with coding for billing purposes, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
• Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support medication administration processes by coordinating with nursing staff as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care within a Level II Trauma Center or similar facility.
• Provide assistance in medical-surgical settings as required.

Requirements
• Previous experience in a clinic or hospital medicine environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with outpatient services and medical administrative support functions.
• Basic life support certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical coding practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
• A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
