) department within a high-performing acute care hospital. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring all surgical instrumentation and supplies meet strict sterilization standards, supporting a dynamic surgical environment with a strong focus on orthopedic and spine procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Department Leadership: Oversee daily CSP operations, ensuring efficient workflows and timely instrument availability for surgical cases
• Team Management: Lead staff training, development, scheduling, and performance management
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable standards, including The Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies
• Policy & Procedures: Develop, review, and update departmental policies aligned with best practices
• Quality Assurance: Monitor sterilization processes, documentation, and infection control standards to ensure optimal outcomes
Qualifications
• Experience: 3–5 years of Sterile Processing experience required
• Leadership: Prior Lead or Supervisor experience in an acute care setting required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certification: Completion of an accredited CSP program with active certification required
• Life Support: BCLS certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
