About the position

Clementine West Linn, located in West Linn, OR, is a residential treatment program dedicated to helping adolescents who are struggling with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Our mission is to support these young individuals and their families on their journey to recovery, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate life free from the constraints of their eating disorders. We believe in providing empathy, education, and support to families, recognizing them as essential partners in the recovery process. Our approach focuses on helping each adolescent replace their eating disorder with healthy coping skills and a profound understanding of their unique individuality. We are currently seeking a full-time Residential Counselor to join our dedicated team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in mental health and the eating disorder field. The anticipated schedule for this position is Thursday to Saturday, with overnight shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a key role in integrating and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey, ensuring they receive the guidance and intervention necessary to thrive. In this position, you will engage clients in developing healthy relationships with peers and staff, assist with meal preparation and supervision, and participate in therapeutic groups aimed at fostering clinical growth. You will also conduct rounds to monitor client well-being and may occasionally drive clients to off-site appointments and activities. This role is vital in creating a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes recovery and personal growth.

Responsibilities
• Integrate and support clients through their recovery journey.

• Provide support and intervention consistent with the client's treatment plan.

• Engage clients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other clients and the team.

• Assist in food preparation and set-up; model and supervise client meals and snacks.

• Participate in therapeutic groups and develop core skills to promote clinical growth.

• Conduct rounds and provide observations of clients.

• Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.

Requirements
• Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
,
• At least 2 years of post-high school education; Bachelor's in Psychology preferred.
,
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired (and required in some states).

• Valid state-issued Driver's License with a safe driving history.
,
• Good communication and client relations skills; service orientation; flexibility; and the ability to work as a team member.
