We are looking for a Software Developer in Kansas City, MO. Software Developer is responsible for ensuring customers success by creating best-of-breed solutions to business challenges. A Software Developers daily responsibilities include: participating in Agile meetings, working with team members and architects to build and enhance systems and programs, performing code reviews, and working to support products as needed.

• $40-$45 per hour,


• 40 hours per week, M - F


• Contract with opportunity to convert FT (Contract-to-Hire)

Description: The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

• Taking commercial products from conception to market


• Building software in a collaborative Agile environment


• Writing unit tests, performing code reviews, and taking other steps to produce quality deliverables


• Managing source code using Git


• Producing code that aligns with best practices and improving overall code quality.


• Use creativity and analytical problem solving to build solutions


• Design, test, deploy and maintain one or more software products


• Collaborate with team members to produce quality software


• Work with the architecture team to make technical recommendations

Demonstrated Skills Include

• Building testable, scalable software that can be deployed in a SaaS environment.


• The ability to build backend software in C#/Java or frontend software in JavaScript with minimal oversight.


• Being passionate about creating software.


• Ability to articulate rationale behind technical decisions.


• Responsible for assisting with application development and implementation on one or more computing platforms. Provide analysis of potential solutions and develops input for build or buy recommendations.


• Develops or maintain program code based on defined requirements. Develops requirements for application interfaces and conversions. Assists with defining and executing system test plans. Responsible for all phases of project application development documentation. Responsible for following programming and documentation standards and development and project methodology.

Requirements: Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, any Engineer discipline, or equivalent experience


• At least 5 years full lifecycle development experience as a backend developer in C# or 5 years frontend development with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Aurelia, etc.)


• Experience with Net core is required


• At least 3 years experience with relational or NoSQL databases (SQL Server is highly preferred) and creating SQL statements


• At least 3 years experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap is required

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms highly desired


• Experience with CI/CD and Docker environments desired


• Experience with TypeScript is desirable


• Bachelor's degree computer science, management information systems or related field. Minimum 5 years experience. Delivery of software solutions on products consistently on time with little to no errors. Able to perform IT work or lead team to perform work.


• Good communication with team and customer. Excellent written verbal communication skills. Certification may be required (system dependent).
