Civil Engineering Field Technician

Engineered Tower Solutions, PLLC. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our inspections team. This position performs structural mapping services and post modification services using engineered design documents for tower structures as part of a two-person field crew. This position requires the ability to climb towers using best safety practices under the direct supervision of a climbing lead. The applicant will have the technical ability to provide basic closeout documentation for all field services performed. Tower climbing safety training and equipment will be provided.

Travel: Individuals applying for this position must be able to travel a minimum of 4 days a week, (usually Tuesday - Friday approximately 80% of your work week) We work in all 50 states and pay a daily per diem for meals. We pay your expenses for hotel rooms, flights, and rental cars when necessary.

Other Conditions:
• Possession of a valid driver's license is a requirement for this job.
• Successful candidate must submit to a background check.
• 85% travel, 15% office
• Must be able to perform physical labor including climbing, digging, measuring, and lifting.
• This position includes exposure to high altitudes and extreme temperatures related to outdoor environments.
• Candidate mustn't have a fear of heights as you will be required to climb to a height of at least 300 feet. ETS is a drug free employer, all applicants will be drug tested.

Education: The ideal candidate has a Civil or Mechanical Engineering background or 2 years of tower work experience. CAD experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
• 4-year engineering degree (civil or mechanical engineers are preferred)
• Passed the FE exam
• Ability to climb towers using best safety practices (tower climbing safety training will be provided).
• Ability to provide accurate and detailed documentation.
• Valid driver’s license insurable by company insurance company
• Be a self-starter that can work independently of direct in person supervision.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Industry or field inspection experience.
• Experience working at heights.

Pay Range: Commenserate with experience.'
