Are you a motivated construction expert looking to showcase your skills? If you believe in a more efficient way to handle residential projects and have a passion for modern design, this is an incredible opportunity for you!

We are a comprehensive architecture and construction company dedicated to delivering exceptional, contemporary designs for residential projects. By offering an integrated design-build service, we maintain greater control over the construction process, allowing for an easier and more streamlined approach.

In this role, you will manage and supervise a single residential remodeling project at a time, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. Our clients will appreciate your dedication to bringing their visions to life.

Purpose

The Supervisor is primarily responsible for high-quality project management and overseeing the construction of one residential remodel project at a time. Most projects are based in San Francisco, but locations can vary within Marin, inner East Bay, or upper peninsula areas. Your primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and quality project completions. You will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Position Responsibilities
• Act as the primary contact for clients throughout the project, providing honest communication and solutions to their inquiries, while collaborating with the Operations Manager and Lead Designer when needed.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with clients.
• Ensure that subcontractors are well-informed and prepared ahead of scheduled start times.
• Carefully track the contracted scope of work, identifying all changes and ensuring approval for all change orders before proceeding with the extra work.
• Prepare a written rolling work plan every three weeks, reviewing and updating project schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Create a schedule for all inspections, ensuring proper documentation with building departments is maintained.
• Lead weekly site meetings with clients and the Operations Manager to discuss project status, changes in scope, and scheduling updates, while preparing agendas and meeting notes to document decisions.
• Build strong working relationships with neighbors.
• Address issues with subcontractor performance and tackle quality, safety, and scheduling challenges.
• Assist subcontractors in interpreting plans and specifications.
• Communicate questions and discrepancies to the Lead Designer and/or Operations Manager for guidance.
• Submit all requests for additional information (RFIs) through the project management system.
• Prepare daily job reports summarizing work completed, subcontractor updates, client interactions, and overall job progress.
• Conduct quality control reviews of all work performed.
• In collaboration with the Operations Manager and design team, perform project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
• This role is supported by the Operations Manager, Project Engineer, and Lead Designer.

Position Requirements
• Must fulfill all company requirements.
• A minimum of five years of direct construction experience.
• A minimum of three years of project management experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• Expertise in reading construction documents and ability to direct work based on plans and specifications.
• Rough and finish carpentry skills and extensive knowledge of construction methods and techniques are a plus.
• Good understanding of related building trades.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with your team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Reliable work vehicle (high MPG preferred).
• Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.

This is a full-time, salaried position (exempt from overtime) with weekly pay periods.

Benefits include health, medical, and dental insurance, 401k with a 3% company contribution, profit sharing, 11 paid holidays, unlimited PTO, and a transportation stipend.
