West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) seeks a creative and motivated part-time Marketing/Communications Assistant to support marketing and communications efforts for the Paducah School of Art & Design and Clemens Fine Art Center. The individual in this role will play a key part in developing engaging content that enhances community awareness and participation while ensuring all marketing materials align with WKCTC’s branding guidelines and standards.

Job Summary:
West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) seeks a creative and motivated part-time Marketing/Communications Assistant to support marketing and communications efforts for the Paducah School of Art & Design and Clemens Fine Art Center. The individual in this role will play a key part in developing engaging content that enhances community awareness and participation while ensuring all marketing materials align with WKCTC’s branding guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design flyers, social media graphics, TV, and marquee visuals following WKCTC’s established branding guide.
• Produce advertising and marketing materials for a variety of platforms, including print, social media, websites, and digital markets, to enhance community engagement and awareness.
• Plan, write, and distribute press releases, blogs, social media content, radio scripts, and video materials that support WKCTC’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education that strengthens our region’s workforce and community.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Associate of Applied Science in Visual Communications & Media or equivalent employment experience.
Recommended Certification(s): Digital Design, Promotion Design & Production, and/or Video Production
Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time, extensive use of a computer; lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 15 lbs.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in multiple Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and community members.
• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of WKCTC’s branding and messaging standards.
