Welcome Center Staff are responsible for member engagement, register/till transactions, and program registration. Ideal candidates will have the ability and desire to by engage both members and the general public, ensuring that their needs are met upon entering the facility..
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information about all YMCA programs, membership and policies, etc. and cross promote when appropriate.
- Serve as point of contact for members, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
- Offer financial assistance in response to program and membership inquiries.
- Field and resolve membership concerns, and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
- Use databases and software to create memberships, program registrations, and records and keep up to date member information.
- Record all accident/incident reports and participant statistics etc., as required by supervisor, and react immediately to member comments/concerns.
- Perform financial transactions accurately, and maintain a balanced till.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer and office skills.
- Ability to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
Schedule:
We have a variety of shifts available including Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4:30pm-9:15pm Saturday 6:30am-12:30pm. Flexible availability is preferred.
