We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Equipment Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Equipment Technologist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining MRI equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and producing accurate images. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic images for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Position patients correctly and safely in the MRI machine, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Follow proper safety protocols and procedures, including ensuring appropriate screening for contraindications and monitoring patients during the MRI scan
  • Adjust imaging parameters and settings to optimize image quality while minimizing scan times
  • Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment, including cleaning and calibrating machines as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and technical issues as they arise, in collaboration with appropriate vendors or service providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each patient's procedure, including imaging data and any relevant patient information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
  • Current certification as an MRI technologist through a recognized accrediting organization
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an MRI technologist, with proficiency in operating and troubleshooting MRI equipment
  • Strong knowledge of MRI scanning protocols and techniques
  • Excellent understanding of anatomy and physiology, as it applies to MRI imaging
  • Familiarity with imaging software and the ability to navigate digital imaging systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
