Veterinary Care Assistant

West Side Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our outpatient care team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care during appointments by coordinating and executing treatment plans and providing thorough client education.

In this role, you will primarily assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, review treatment plans, and address clients' questions. Additionally, you will coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian's orders, ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining an efficient workflow to keep exams running on schedule. This position is ideal for those who excel in client engagement and are looking to grow their skillset.

This is a full-time position, with a 4-10s schedule and availability needed Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. No weekends!

• Compensation: $14-16/hour, based on experience and skill set

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

• 1+ year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Basic restraint
  • Oral medication administration
  • Medical records/scribe
  • Basic assisting skills (nail trims, anal glands, TPR)
