Our web and mobile applications are transforming healthcare information technology to increase practice efficiency and improve patient outcomes. We offer end-to-end specialty-specific solutions from practice management, through EMR to Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) that maximize office interactions, patient visits, collections and reimbursements.
Modernizing Medicine is seeking to hire a Director of Business Development to drive amazing results for our customers. In this role, you are responsible for leading a team and developing relationships that enable revenue growth through the expansion of Modernizing Medicine's suite of product solutions. We are looking for a motivated individual who can identify go-to-market partnerships that drive revenue and offer complementary capabilities for our clients.

- You have strong business acumen with the ability to see the big picture of the market; how the key drivers of the business relate to each other and work together to produce profitable growth.
Your Role:
- The goal of this role is to produce year over year revenue growth in the areas outside our traditional sales engine including but not limited to vendor and partner relationships.
- Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities.
- Drive business results from conception to completion (operationalize).
- Develop a comprehensive partner target list by specialty.
- Leverage relationships and apply your expertise to identify revenue opportunities that reach new audiences, increase distribution, and/or enhance existing products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in the development of the organization's business plan, strategy, and goals.
- Translate and effectively present insights and outcomes to the executive team.
- Navigate obstacles that come up in partner relationships and be curious to find win/win solutions.
- Develop business plans to support potential partnership opportunities.
- Track industry trends and maintain extensive knowledge of market conditions.
- Manage a team of direct reports as well as a budget and provide financial reporting to executive leadership.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Requires 10 years of successful, progressive, related and relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Software / SaaS industry experience required; experience in healthcare technology within the ambulatory market is a plus.
- Demonstrated successful experience leading and managing a team of professionals that includes motivating, engaging, managing, identifying and recruiting existing and new top talent.
- Strong business acumen (executive level thinking, financial literacy, management & leadership skills).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Bias toward action with the demonstrated ability to build and manage productive internal, external and cross-functional relationships that drive results.
- High attention to detail and a focus on fact-based decision making.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations.
- Creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies.
- Self-directed and self-motivated.
