Do you want a flexible schedule and the ability to pursue your interests both in and out of veterinary medicine?
About Us
Newberry Animal Hospital (NAH) in beautiful Gainesville, Florida, is the perfect place for you. As a privately owned small animal practice group with four hospitals and twelve veterinarians in North Central Florida, we are currently seeking a full- or part-time Associate Veterinarian with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team. We are wanting to add rehabilitation and physical therapy for pets to our clientele. We offer a collaborative, positive work environment with state-of-the-art equipment.
At NAH, you’ll experience the benefits of working in a large, well-organized practice without the restrictions of corporate medicine. Our focus is on providing high-quality care, supported by a well-trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, and laser therapy. We offer a wide range of services, including acupuncture and advanced soft tissue surgery. We encourage our veterinarians to pursue their individual passions and expand their skills, whether in surgery, integrative medicine, ultrasound, exotics, emergency medicine, or other areas that excite and challenge them. For those interested, we also offer opportunities for ownership and partnerships.
Your Role
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and hydrotherapy treatments.
• Evaluate and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for canine and feline patients.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners to ensure the best outcomes.
• Educate clients on home exercises and post-rehabilitation care.
• Maintain detailed patient records and track progress.
What We’re Looking For
• Licensed DVM, CCRP, CCRT, or a licensed Veterinary Technician with rehabilitation certification.
• Experience in veterinary rehabilitation or physical therapy preferred.
• Passion for patient care and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary based on experience.
• Flexible schedule with work-life balance in mind.
• Continuing education opportunities.
• Supportive and friendly team environment.
