The Middle Market Investment Banking (MMIB) team within CIB is seeking an experienced investment banking professional, at the Managing Director (MD) level, to join its Regional Investment Banking team in the East.

The job requires the ability to consistently meet and exceed client expectations, proactive client contact at the key decision maker level, establish role as trusted advisor, timely and relevant idea generation, and effective partnering with appropriate coverage and product specialists across the platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as an advisor within Investment Banking functional area to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across groups and functions within Investment Banking functional area
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas within Investment Banking functional area
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and which require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, coordination of highly complex activities, and guidance to others
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise within Investment Banking functional area to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide
  • Engage with Investment Banking professionals and managers across the company and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 7+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience in Investment Banking, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Regional Investment Banking experience within Middle Market Investment Banking
  • Securities industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Strong credit skills
  • Strong risk management skills
  • Ability to analyze trends in the competitive marketplace and related marketing developments
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Job Expectations:
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 or (79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Pay Range

$249,500.00 - $518,300.00 Annual
