Job description
Trainer Warehouse Operations & Quality Assurance
POSITION OVERVIEW
Train associates to perform a variety of warehouse related functions such as sorting, scanning, handling materials, receiving product, shipping product, inventory control, and forklift operation. Train associates to use the appropriate operations software platforms utilized in the facility. Training programs must follow client and facility guidelines and SOPs. In charge of reviewing performance at different phases to ensure a set of consistent standards is met. Perform visual inspections, recording quality issues and planning processes to decrease the instance of defects in products. Responsible for guaranteeing the quality of services. Involves careful inspections and the enforcement of quality standards. Other essential duties and responsibilities in quality assurance include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Train associates to scan products using RF scanner to input data into Companys computerized system for processing in a productive and accurate manner.
Train associates to sort scanned product in appropriate locations.
Train associates to inspect condition of product and prepare for disposition in accordance with company policy
Train associates to clean and organize work area daily.
Answer questions and provide aid in order to help associates in meeting their daily production, accuracy, and safety goals.
Retrain associates as necessary
Assist with Identifying root cause for common errors made and developing a solution to resolve.
Ensure associates have all tools necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Set a standard of excellence in job performance, attendance, and adherence to all policies and procedures that is an example for all other associate
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work overtime as scheduled
Put customers first and consistently display a positive attitude and behaviors that demonstrate an awareness and willingness to listen and respond in order to meet short-term and long-term needs, requirements and exceed their expectations.
Treat teammates with courtesy, consideration and tact
Build collaborative relationships and work cooperatively with others, to accomplish objectives, develop and maintain mutually-beneficial partnerships, leverage information and achieve results.

Develop knowledge and skills of warehouse operation functions to perform tasks for multiple/all operations functions
Utilize classroom training, demonstrations, and on the job training to properly execute job functions
Become expert with understanding the Standard Operating Procedures for assigned work area(s) and function(s)
Become expert with using RF scan units, computer systems, and operating forklift equipment (as necessary)
Excellent presentation skills and confident public speaker
Works well with a diverse workforce by being consistent and unbiased when training
Able to utilize established Standard Operating Procedures to provide comprehensive knowledge of the job functions
Can demonstrate the skills needed for functions and tasks being trained
Can clearly deliver a message to Trainee, Supervisor, or Manager
Can conduct individual and group trainings
Can answer questions regarding training and Best Methods and provide assistance when requested
Can evaluate the knowledge and skills learned of individual trainees by using established observations and audits
Partner with Supervisors and Managers to provide assessment results and feedback
Conduct evaluations to identify and communicate areas of improvement
Pack boxes with specific products arranging and wrapping/cushioning products appropriately to withstand shipment without becoming damaged.
Pick up and discard paper, packing/wrapping materials, empty cartons, and all trash/debris throughout work shift.
When appropriate, identify and communicate recommendations related to Order Fulfillment scheduling, assignments, and general process improvements.
Documenting and reporting product or service quality levels
Developing and implementing standards for inspection
Developing a workflow for product inspection
Developing plans to help a company manage waste
Communicating with other team members to solve problems
Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
Training other quality insurance members on all inspection processes
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma preferred or its equivalent
Working knowledge of computers
Ability to work under time pressure and meet production goals
Ability to assist other operations within the warehouse, as needed and if applicable
Ability to meet set production and quality goals and follow standard operating and safety procedures
Ability to communicate proficiently in both English and Spanish preferred as may be assisting both English and Spanish speaking associates. Multilingual would be beneficial to success
Support a safe work environment by following safety rules and regulations and reporting all safety hazards.
Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-function distribution center
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
Strong communication skills both verbally and written
Flexibility and willingness to follow instruction required
Ability and willingness to work alternative shifts as required
Strong interpersonal skills

Detail oriented
Must be at least 18 years old and provide state-required proof of age documents
Previous experience training others preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms.
Regularly required to talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper.
Frequently required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus.
Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours
Must be able to lift and/or move boxes, totes and other objects weighing up to 30 pounds from a height of up to 6 feet
Must be able to push boxes along mechanically assisted conveyor weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Ability to stand, bend and lift for up to 8 hours daily
