Job Summary
Help digitize Construction processes by supporting existing processes and tools and finding new innovative ways to bring digital applications into Construction. Manage complex Manages complex business process technology projects and staff that helps to ensure the analysis of business needs and design solutions are met. Works closely with IT and stakeholders to support project execution excellence using innovative technology. Assist IT in the vendor selection process, development of applications, designing reports, testing the performance and usability of applications and preparation of user training documentation. Facilitate the successful implementation of technologies to gain greater business efficiencies. With support, reports directly to management on the progress of projects, communicates with all stakeholders on progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Manages Digital Innovation analysts and specialists (or other professionals with similar responsibilities) including performance management responsibilities – annual goals, mid-year, and year-end reviews of professionals. • Become ingrained and learn Construction process and understand their importance to help find digital innovative solutions. • Assesses and supports change management effects associated with implementation of technology improvements. • Proactively supports, encourages, and facilitates staff to engage in continuous technology improvement activities. • Facilitate the relationship between all design disciplines to develop tools and practices which benefit the project delivery process. • Generate and maintain Construction IT roadmap, initiatives list and report on progress to leadership. • Understand Black & Veatch IT standards to ensure compliance with IT processes for technology. • Demonstrate and communicate technology benefits to external and internal clients, including development of training material, presentations, and multimedia formats • Coordinates with IT on requirements and schedules for the budgeting, procurement, and roll-out of new and updated technology associated software • Collaborate with consultants to understand leading-industry applications, processes and technologies that would facilitate opportunities for improvement, automation and digital transformation • Participate in cross departmental teams responsible for collecting information on business cases, gap analyses and return on investment analysis • Communicates regularly with Product Owner and IT liaisons to coordinate timelines, enhancements, gaps, and issues. • Test and benchmark hardware and software configurations, monitor usage and versioning, and make appropriate recommendations for improvements, upgrades and purchases. • Work with IT to develop, disseminate and implement corporate-wide standards for technologies and processes • Develop standard practices to improve business efficiency through the use of technology • Coordinate technology efforts across Black & Veatch divisions to support a ONE B&V approach • Research innovative ways to utilize technology and data to create a unique project experience both internally and externally • Facilitate the use of leading edge technology and processes to support the business • Attend Industry conferences and learning opportunities to understand industrialized construction needs and possible technology solutions for the future.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) industry
+ PMP Certification
+ SCRUM certifications such as CSPO, PSM, PSPO, etc.
+ 8+ years’ experience in related technology industry
+ Industrial construction on-site/field experience
+ Familiar with OSHA and construction safety practices
+ Business Analyst experience
+ Familiar with Agile project management
+ Bachelor's degree preferredin Construction Management, Engineering, Business and/or Management Information Systems
+ Azure DevOps
