Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join our AACSB accredited Department of Management & Organization in the School of Business as a full-time tenure- track faculty member. Anticipated start date is August 2025. We seek applicants who will prepare students for the managerial roles they will play in their careers in business, government, and non-profit organizations, as well as for graduate study. These students will be prepared to pursue careers in such diverse areas as (1) General Management, (2) Human Resource Management, and (3) Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship through our undergraduate programs, and to advance in management roles through the Management Track offered in our MBA program.

Applicant Evaluative Criteria

Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:

Required Qualifications
  • All applicants must possess a doctoral degree in Management or a closely related field from an accredited University.
  • ABD Candidates may be considered upon evidence of anticipated completion by June 30, 2026.
  • Demonstrated AASCB Scholarly Academic record of current and relevant scholarship and activities related to the field of teaching. Scholarly Academics are expected to have produced peer or editorial reviewed publications related to their field of teaching as part of their portfolio of scholarship.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience across multiple management areas such as Fundamentals of Management, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Sports Management, and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctoral degree in Management or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited University.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship area at the college or university level.
  • Demonstrated experience in Management, and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, preferably at a managerial level or higher.
  • Special Note: Candidates who possess a Doctorate or Terminal Degree plus at least five (5) years of full-time service in a college or university at the rank of Assistant Professor or above, or at a comparable equivalent, may be considered at the rank of Associate Professor.

Compensation and Employee Benefits

In accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for this position is at the rank of Assistant Professor for 2024-2025.
